"I’ve been using the site a bit and..."
I’ve been using the site a bit and it’s been easy to figure out. Haven’t run into any major problems yet, so… yeah, so far it’s been fine.

Well... they made the whole billing and financial aid process easy for me. I had questions, and they helped me figure everything out quickly.

"Am I the only one who feels..."
Am I the only one who feels like the workload itself isn’t too bad, but the expectations can be all over the place? Some assignments feel manageable, while others seem uneven or unclear compared to the rest
"Enrollment was easier than I thought"
Getting signed up was smooth. My admissions advisor got back to me quick and helped me sort out what paperwork I needed and all that. I didn’t feel rushed or confused the whole time, which was nice. Overall, way easier than I expected and a solid first impression so far.
"Graduation stuff dragged on"
The classes themselves were mostly okay, no huge complaints there. But once it came time for graduation and getting my transcripts, it got annoying. I felt like I had to keep following up just to figure out what was going on, and the updates weren’t very clear. The transcript process especially felt slow, which was frustrating after already paying the fees. It’s not the worst school or anything, but the ending really left a bad taste. That’s it

"Helpful instructors, but replies can take a bit"
Not gonna lie, my experience with columbiasouthern.edu has been decent overall. Some instructors get back to me quickly and are actually helpful when I have questions about assignments.
That said, there have been a few times where I waited 2 or 3 days for a response, which can be stressful when a deadline is coming up. It’s not awful, just kind of depends on the instructor you end up with.

"Transfer credits were clear, but I didn’t feel very heard"
They reviewed my old credits quickly and sent me a clear list of what transferred, which I really appreciated. It was nice not having to call over and over or keep guessing what counted. That definitely made starting at CSU less stressful. At the same time, when I had a couple questions, I felt kind of brushed off, like they just wanted to move on instead of actually explaining things.

"Course felt a bit outdated"
I dunno, a lot of the course just felt outdated to me, and some sections were kinda thin. I was hoping for more depth, but it didn’t really get there tbh.

"Decent value, but recognition varies"
The classes were useful for getting that degree requirement checked off, so in that sense it did what I needed. I guess what I mean is, some employers didn’t seem all that impressed by CSU, while others didn’t really care as long as I had the credential. It’s probably worth it if your current job already accepts CSU or you just need the degree for advancement

"Support team really came through"
I reached out with a few questions about enrollment, and they got back to me quickly. They explained everything in a way that actually made sense, so the whole process felt a lot less confusing.
"My academic advisor was useful once I..."
My academic advisor was useful once I actually got a response, but the slow replies made things more stressful than they needed to be. They did help me figure out my classes and what steps I had to take next, so I’ll give them that. But I definitely had to follow up a couple times, which felt like it shouldn’t have been my job. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but they could be a lot more consistent with communication.
"From what I remember, CSU made the..."
From what I remember, CSU made the whole GI Bill process a lot easier than I expected. The military support team got back to me quickly and helped me sort through my class options without making it feel overwhelming. Looking back, that support took a lot of stress off my plate.

"The self-paced format really worked for me"
I liked that I could go through it at my own pace. With my schedule, it was much easier to fit things in when I actually had time instead of feeling rushed or locked into a set time.

"Degree felt legit, honestly"
I was a little unsure at first. Online school and all that. But it’s accredited, and when I listed my degree, no one questioned it. Employers took it seriously. That mattered to me.

"Affordable tuition, but it still adds up"
Columbia Southern’s tuition is reasonable compared to a lot of the other schools I checked out. that was the biggest reason I decided to give them a shot (saving money was a major factor for me).
That said, it’s not exactly “cheap” once you start adding in books, fees, and the random extra costs that come with school (because of course there are extras). It’s still more affordable than plenty of other options, but you definitely need to budget for more than just the per-credit price.
Overall, I’d say it’s a decent choice if cost is one of your main concerns. It’s not perfect, but it’s not bad either (just go in with a realistic idea of the total cost)
